The Wisconsin Department of Justice has made an incredible breakthrough locating a missing person – for the first time – with drone technology.
Here’s what you missed:
Leader-Telegram: “An aerial drone equipped with a heat-vision camera helped Eau Claire County sheriff’s deputies quickly locate a 68-year-old man who had been reported missing Tuesday morning. According to a state Department of Justice news release sent on Friday, it was the first known use of an unmanned aerial vehicle in Wisconsin to successfully find a person who had been reported missing through the state’s Silver Alert system.”
CBS 58: “The drone was used to search the fields near the missing man’s home where he was found walking in the middle of a field. By using the drone officials were able to direct law enforcement to retrieve the man from the field.”
