Statement on South Carolina Attorney General and RAGA Chairman Alan Wilson’s Re-election
Republican Attorneys General Association (RAGA) Executive Director Jessica Medeiros Garrison issued the following statement on South Attorney General and RAGA Chairman Alan Wilson’s re-election victory in tonight’s General Election:
“Congratulations to South Carolina Attorney General and RAGA Chairman Alan Wilson on securing a second term as the state’s top law enforcement officer. As South Carolina’s 51st Attorney General, Wilson has protected South Carolina’s right-to-work, helped lead the 26-state challenge to the federal health care mandate, and successfully safeguarded the state’s voter identification and immigration laws in court. I congratulate General Wilson on tonight’s victory and thank him for his leadership.”
The Republican Attorneys General Association (RAGA) is the only national organization whose mission is electing Republicans to the Office of Attorney General. RAGA concentrates on supporting our current attorneys general and recruiting outstanding candidates, providing them with research and financial support and assisting in message development. In doing so, RAGA is improving the talent base from which many future Governors and U.S. Senators will be drawn.
