Statement on Ken Paxton’s Election as Texas’ Attorney General
South Carolina Attorney General and Republican Attorneys General Association (RAGA) Chairman Alan Wilson issued the following statement on Ken Paxton’s victory in tonight’s General Election for Texas Attorney General:
“Congratulations to Ken Paxton being elected to serve as Texas’ 51st Attorney General. I am looking forward to serving with Ken, as he carries on the same drive to push back against federal overreach as our good friend Attorney General Greg Abbott. Ken will be a great advocate for states’ rights and a strong protector of the Constitution. There is no doubt in my mind that Ken will make an extraordinary attorney general for the people of Texas.”
The Republican Attorneys General Association (RAGA) is the only national organization whose mission is electing Republicans to the Office of Attorney General. RAGA concentrates on supporting our current attorneys general and recruiting outstanding candidates, providing them with research and financial support and assisting in message development. In doing so, RAGA is improving the talent base from which many future Governors and U.S. Senators will be drawn.
