Statement on Brad Schimel’s Election as Wisconsin’s Attorney General
South Carolina Attorney General and Republican Attorneys General Association (RAGA) Chairman Alan Wilson issued the following statement on Brad Schimel’s victory in tonight’s General Election for Wisconsin Attorney General:
“Congratulations to Brad Schimel being elected to serve as Wisconsin’s 44th Attorney General. I am looking forward to serving with Brad, as he carries on the same drive to push back against federal government overreach as our good friend Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen. Brad will be a great advocate for states’ rights, a staunch defender of the Constitution and will work side-by-side with law enforcement officials throughout the state. There is no doubt in my mind that Brad will make an extraordinary attorney general for the people of Wisconsin.”
The Republican Attorneys General Association (RAGA) is the only national organization whose mission is electing Republicans to the Office of Attorney General. RAGA concentrates on supporting our current attorneys general and recruiting outstanding candidates, providing them with research and financial support and assisting in message development. In doing so, RAGA is improving the talent base from which many future Governors and U.S. Senators will be drawn.
