Court issues order staying President’s executive action
WASHINGTON, DC – RAGA Chairman, and Attorney General of Florida, Pam Bondi released the following statement regarding Monday’s ruling in Texas federal court enjoining President Obama’s unconstitutional executive action with regard to immigration policy. The court granted the motion for preliminary injunction filed by the State of Texas and 25 other states related to their lawsuit against the Administration.
"The federal court has taken the first step towards ensuring the rule of law is upheld. We cannot set a precedent where the President is given the ability to unilaterally change laws that are enacted by Congress. As our states’ lead attorneys we are committed to ensuring that we remain a nation of laws enacted as prescribed by our Constitution,” said Chairman Bondi.
