Republican Attorneys General Association (RAGA) Chairman and Michigan Attorney General Bill Schuette released the following statement on State Senator John Rafferty’s victory intonight’s Republican Party Primary Election for Pennsylvania Attorney General:
“I want to congratulate State Senator John Rafferty on securing the Republican Party nomination in tonight’s Pennsylvania Primary Election for attorney general. As a current state senator serving his fourth term, Senator Rafferty has an extensive background in public service, where he also served as a deputy attorney general. Senator Rafferty has been endorsed by the State Troopers Association and the State Fraternal Order of Police as the strongest candidate who will take drugs off the streets, combat human trafficking and stop scam artists who target Pennsylvania seniors. As the state’s top law enforcement officer, Senator Rafferty will defend the rule of law, push back against overreaching federal regulations that kill jobs, and serve as a strong partner in the ongoing fight against President Obama’s job-killing initiatives. More importantly, Senator Rafferty will restore integrity and honesty back to the state attorney general office. I look forward to joining Senator Rafferty on the campaign trail to help him become Pennsylvania’s next attorney general.”
