WASHINGTON, DC – RAGA Chairman, and Attorney General of Florida, Pam Bondi released the following statement regarding today’s ruling from a federal court in Pennsylvania on President Obama’s unconstitutional executive action.
"The federal court ruling demonstrates that President Obama has violated his constitutional oath and cannot use executive action as a ‘bargaining chip’ against a democratically elected Congress.
“While this decision from the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania is not related to the lawsuit filed by Attorney General Abbott of Texas, along with 23 other states, we are pleased with the decision by the federal court. We agree with the Court’s conclusion that ‘President Obama’s unilateral legislative action violates the separation of powers provided for in the United States Constitution as well as the Take Care Clause, and therefore, is unconstitutional.’
“As our states’ lead attorneys, we are committed to the rule of law and ensuring that we remain a nation of laws, enacted as prescribed by our Constitution."
