Washington, D.C. – The Republican Attorneys General Association (RAGA) released the following statement in response to Doug Reynolds’ brazen dishonesty in the West Virginia Record regarding his inherited wealth:
“Doug Reynolds’ support for Hillary Clinton and his vote to cripple the attorney general’s power to fight the EPA are enough to disqualify him from this race. Now, Reynolds is adding blatant dishonesty to his record. The facts are clear and publicly available: Doug Reynolds inherited tremendous wealth from his father, and he is attempting to use that inherited wealth to buy the office of attorney general.
“With the Clean Power Plan threatening so many jobs in this state, the last thing West Virginia needs is a dishonest, Hillary Clinton supporting attorney general.” – RAGA Executive Director Scott Will.
About RAGA: The Republican Attorneys General Association (RAGA) is the only national organization whose mission is electing Republicans to the Office of State Attorney General. In 2014 Republican attorneys general became the clear majority, for the first time in our country’s history, increasing the total number of Republican attorneys general from 24 to 27, protecting all our 12 incumbents and turning three states from blue to red, by investing nearly $14 million into political spending.
